Answer
There are a number of reasons why your email might not be working, please follow these steps to see where this could be.
- ping mail.google.com, if there is a reply, that means the email system is working.
- ping from your machine, read the FAQ "how to ping". If there is a reply from this, your computer is reaching the mail server.
- If the second step does not work, then you have a network issue which could be within your office or on your internet connection.
- If this is your internet connection, see if you can surf to any website, if this is okay, then the issue lies with your internal network or your own PC.
- Call your IT support to sort this out.
